Serves 4 Sin Free on Original


1 Large onion, chopped

2 Sticks of celery, chopped

8oz Carrots, sliced

1 tsp mixed herbs

1/2 pt Bovril Stock

12 Bowyers 95% fat free pork sausages

pt Passata

250gm pack chestnut mushrooms

salt and pepper



1. Place all the prepared vegetables into a large saucepan along with the mixed herbs. Pour over the stock, bring to boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are just tender. Remove the lid and cook for a further 2 minutes until the stock has reduced a little.

2. Grill the sausages for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through and browned all over. Remove from grill and cut into chunks. Transfer the sausages to the vegetable pan and add the passata. Bring to boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.

3. Wipe the chestnut mushrooms cut in half and stir into the casserole along with salt and pepper. Continue to cook for a further 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and cooked through. Serve.
